Liza was called to the First Church of Deerfield in 2017, after serving in a variety of ministries in and around the Valley, as term pastor at Belchertown United Church of Christ, as youth director of First Churches of Northampton, and as seminary intern and music minister of Northampton’s outdoor Cathedral in the Night. A former middle school science and drama teacher, Liza is a 2013 graduate of Andover Newton Theological School, and also holds graduate degrees in Environmental Studies and in Forestry, from Bard College and UMASS-Amherst.
